Who we are
Lirecoach is a reading and writing app for people with dyslexia, made by Noctara Enterprise LLC, Pasco, Washington, United States. In these terms, "we" means Noctara Enterprise LLC and "you" means the person using the app. You can reach us at info@lirecoach.com.
Agreeing to these terms
By using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. When you create an account, the app asks you to agree.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree for you and should set the app up with you.
What the app is, and what it is not
The app reads pages aloud, helps with spelling and writing, and offers practice with letters and sounds.
The app is not a test and not a diagnosis. Nothing in it can tell you whether you have dyslexia. Only a trained, licensed professional can. The app does not replace a teacher, a tutor or a specialist.
The app turns pictures and speech into words, and reads words out. It can get things wrong. Check anything important, such as a letter about money, health or the law, with a person you trust.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You sign in with an email and a password, a code we email you, or Apple or Google. Your account has a username, and your membership goes with it to any phone you sign in on.
Keep your password and your email account safe. Anyone who can read your email can use a sign in code.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Membership or Your account, then Delete my account. You can also email us.
Membership and payment
Most of the app is free. A membership opens every practice stage and reading a hard page again. The price and how often it renews are shown in the app before you buy.
On an iPhone you pay Apple. On an Android phone you pay Google. Their rules apply to the payment, the renewal and any refund. A membership renews by itself until you turn it off in the App Store or Google Play, at least a day before it ends. Deleting the app or your account does not stop a membership: turn it off in the store.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. We can not refund a store payment ourselves.
We may change prices. A new price only applies after you have been told and your current period has ended.
Using the app fairly
Please do not:
- use the app to break the law, or to read or share things you have no right to;
- try to get around a membership, copy the app, or take it apart;
- overload, attack or interfere with our services.
We may block an account that does these things.
Your words stay yours
What you photograph, import, write or record belongs to you, and stays on your phone. We do not claim any rights to it. The privacy policy lists the few times something leaves your phone, and only when you choose it.
Our app
The app, its lessons, its design and its name belong to Lirecoach or to the people who licensed parts of it to us. Fonts, word lists, the reading voice and other parts made by others are listed, with their licences, under Credits and licences in the app.
Notifications
If you turn them on, the app can remind you once after three days away, and send news from Lirecoach. You can turn either off in Settings at any time.
Changes and availability
We work to keep the app running, but we can not promise it will always work, or that it will be free of mistakes. Most of it works offline. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change applies.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on what the app reads, hears or suggests, or by the app not being available. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. If you live somewhere whose consumer laws give you more protection, those protections still apply to you.
